30th Annual Student Art Show
Berea City School District’s Thirtieth Annual Student Art Show will take place Tuesday, May 17th through Thursday, May 19th in the Student Activity Center at Baldwin Wallace University, 96 Beech Street, Berea. This year’s exhibit, “Art Through the Ages 2016,” will enable visitors to observe the growth and development of students as the show includes two- and three-dimensional works by K-12 artists. “Eye” by Peyton Smith, sixth grade student at Ford Intermediate School, is featured as the artwork for this year’s invitations. The Gallery hours are from 3:30 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 17th through Thursday, May 19th.
Native Necessities
Join the BMHS Environmental Club, Project Embrace, and the AP Environmental Science class on Saturday, May 7 at 10am. Children pre-K and up can participate in a nature based carnival of fun by planting a vegetable garden, native plants, construct nature crafts, play games, and more! 
Paying Attention to Energy Pays
Berea City School District pays attention to energy use, and because of that, they’re NOT paying a lot of big energy bills. By implementing an innovative energy conservation program, the District has significantly cut its energy use – saving $1 million in less than 4 years.

Destination Imagination State Tournament
The Berea City School District is proud to recognize the following students, Darcy Grigson, Nathan Wilson (BPM), Cecily Grigson, and Maryn Hutson (Ford) for their outstanding win at the Destination Imagination State Tournament on Saturday, April 16th.

State Geography Bee Results
Congratulations to 6th grader, Ethan Barker who participated in the State Geography Bee in Columbus on April 5th. Ethan qualified out of the top 100 students in Ohio to participate. After a battle of geography minds, Ethan reached the tie-breaker round for the final and finished 13th place overall out of 100 students.

The National PTA Reflections program encourages students of all ages and abilities to explore and be involved in the arts in an educational way.
