It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Berea City School District Personnel Department webpage. Our webpage is designed to assist both our Berea City School District employees and our community with a way to see what is happening in our department and across the school system. I encourage you to spend sometime visiting our different links listed on this page, you will be able to better understand our offices responsibilities and how we are always working to provide the best services to our entire school community. As you can see on this page we also want to feature our employees. The Personnel Department's primary goal is to Inspire Excellence throughout the entire school district by selecting, and supporting all staff members of the Berea City School District. The department oversees all labor and employee related matters for all certified, administrator, classified and substitute issues. The Berea City Schools has over 900 employees as well as 300 substitutes. The School District's Workers' Compensation is also managed within the Personnel Department.
The Berea City School District serves the communities of Berea, Brook Park, Middleburg Heights and a small portion of Olmsted Falls. The school system is committed to providing an excellent opportunity for all students to learn. Our district is approximately 20 minutes from Downtown Cleveland and 30 minutes to Akron. Our school community has a close relationship with Baldwin Wallace College, which is located in the heart of Berea.
The school district serves over 7500 students in Kindergarten through twelfth grade. The district has also been able to provide our community with a dynamic public preschool program.
