News & Announcements

  • Attention Parents:

As stated in the letter sent home on Monday, March 6th, and in our on-line Ford Flyer newsletter, this year we are proctoring most of our statewide tests online, rather than using the traditional #2 pencil, question and answer booklets.  That poses some unique logistical challenges that we are confident we can meet.  However, a few things will be different.  First on most testing days we will have a morning and an afternoon testing session. Second, we will relocate students who are testing to classrooms throughout the building to ensure maximum connectivity with our laptops.  As a result, only students who are testing will report to school on test days.  The online testing schedule is as follows, and students should bring their own earphones on these days:

Wednesday, April 12, 5th grade Math test - no school for 6th graders

Thursday, April 13, 6 grade Math test - no school for 5th graders

Wednesday, April 19, 5th grade Science test - no school for 6th graders

Thursday, April 20, 6th grade Social Studies test - no school for 5th graders

Please start planning now for the following no school days:

No school for 6th graders on Wednesdays, April 12th and 19th.

No School for 5th graders on Thursdays, April 13th and April 20th

All students will take their statewide English Language Arts tests on Wednesday, April 5th and Thursday, April 6th, using the traditional #2 pencil, question and answer booklets.

Ford Intermediate School is a building comprised of 5th and 6th graders. Our school is a middle school set-up, with a teaming concept. This means that students are placed on a team of teachers and receive a schedule at the beginning of the year to follow throughout the day. Teams of teachers work with groups of students to provide curriculum. Students have lockers, varying schedules, and walk to classes independently throughout the day.
