School Health Services

The School Health Manager is Rebecca Elder 216-433-1133, ext 7218

Here in the Berea City School District, we are very fortunate that in each building within our District is staffed by a School Health Specialist who is either a Registered Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse. They are in the clinics every day, ensuring that our students receive the highest level of quality care. Our School Health Specialists have years of experience working with patients of all ages, as well as training specific to our student population. To meet your child’s School Health Specialist, feel free to stop by the school clinic during clinic hours the next time you are at your child’s school.

We have nurses who support our medically fragile/technology dependent students who require highly specialized nursing services on a daily basis. We also have a dedicated group of “as needed” or “float” nurses, who work diligently to provide care for our students throughout the District in any setting at any time, covering for staff during times of increased need, etc.

In addition, mental and emotional health issues are addressed by our Family Intervention Specialist, who works directly with students and families on an ongoing basis, providing assessments, therapeutic support, and education.

The School Health Team is comprised of professional, compassionate staff, and are here to assist your student, and family as needed.
