School Hours:
9:05 a.m. - Students enter the building
9:15 a.m. - Tardy bell rings
3:40 p.m. - Car riders, walkers, and extended care dismissed
3:50 p.m. - Dismissal bell for bus riders 
(8:50-9:10 a.m Breakfast students only may enter cafeteria door)  

If your child is going to be absent from school you must call the main office at (216) 898-8303Please leave the student's name, teacher's name, and reason for their absence. If we do not receive a call, office personnel will contact parents.
Please remember our first bell rings at 9:05 a.m. and students will be marked tardy if they are not in their classes by 9:15 a.m.

  • State Fire Marshal’s Office is conducting its annual statewide Fire Safety Poster Contest.  The purpose of the contest is to recognize those individuals who have demonstrated an understanding of the issues related to fire safety education and have an ability to visually portray that knowledge Click here for more information Click here for RULES due Thursday OCT 23rd  

    Third Grade entries for the NEOFPA Contest is due Wed Sept 24th 
    The North Eastern Ohio Fire Prevention Association is composed of fire safety officials from all over northeastern Ohio who are committed to fire safety education and fire code enforcement. Our second annual poster contest focuses on residential smoke alarms and the importance of choosing the right type for greatest protection. Click here

  •  **Parent pick-up and early release of students **

    If your child will be picked up at the end of the day (at 3:40 pm), a NOTE is required, (email is not acceptable)

    Without a note or a parent sign out (in the office) your child will be directed to his/her bus line or to extended care if he/she is enrolled.

    Due to the number of phone calls, classroom interruptions and the safety of our students, we will no longer accept phone calls for parent pick-up.  If your child is to be picked up by a parent every day, then one note to the teacher is sufficient. 

    If you do not send a note you must park your car, in the far lot, and come into the office and sign your child out.

    Students will be released at 3:40 pm for parent pick up.  Please be on time so the parent pick up line moves swiftly and safely.

    Early Release:If your child needs to leave earlier in the day for an appointment, please send a note stating the time you will be coming into the office to sign him/her out.  The teacher will then have your child ready for you in a timely fashion.

    The students’ safety is our main concern.

  • Berea. P.E.A.K. . is a parent support group that was just recently started by parents of children in the special education programs of the Berea. City School District.  The meetings are open to parents, family members and caregivers of children who attend any school in the Berea City School District and have a 504 Plan or an IEP.  Childcare is available at these meetings but please let us know in advance to ensure we have enough helpers at the meeting (request by Sept 8th.)  Our first official meeting is scheduled for September 15th  6:30 PM at Grindstone Elementary School in Berea.  For more information or if you have questions, please contact Michele Abraham at 440-724-1848,email-  BereaPEAK@yahoo.com or see our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/groups/BereaPEAK/
