  • Dear Parent/Guardian:

As you know statewide testing, now called the Next Generation Assessments- PARCC, will be starting very soon.  The first set of tests are the Performance Based Assessments (PBA) which assess approximately 75% of the school year’s instruction.  The second set of tests is in the End of the Year Assessments (EOY) which assess approximately 90% of instruction.  We also have the Reading Ohio Achievement Assessment (OAA), that all our current third graders took in the fall and will take again in April.  All of our third graders taking the spring OAA reading assessment is a change from what was previously shared with parents.  The students were originally taking the reading PARCC (PBA) assessment if they were assessed at a specific score from the fall but this is no longer happening.  ALL third grade students, no matter what their fall OAA score, will be taking the spring OAA reading assessment.

Please mark your calendars with these dates. It is very important to have your child in attendance at school prior to these dates and on these dates.

    Third Grade Assessment:

    OAA Reading                  Tues April 21

    Fourth Grade Assessments:

PARCC ELA EOY                    Mon April 20

    PARCC Math EOY                   Wed/Thur April 22 & April 23

PARCC Social Studies EOY   Tues May 5
