    • A smashing success!  Model United Nations Spring Conference at Case Western Reserve University, sponsored by the Cleveland Council on World Affairs (CCWA), was just that.  Registering 482 students from 30 schools from as far as Akron to Mentor to Rocky River, 9 Berea-Midpark High School students, as well as, 5 from our Junior High attended. This was the largest Model UN conference the CCWA has ever had in the Cleveland area.

    • Congratulations to the choir students of BMHS on their performances at OMEA Solo and Ensemble!!  All 5 soloists, Alyse Hancock Phillips, Rebecca Mallory, Ryan McClain, Mark Ross and Drew Scoenhofer, and 3 ensembles, Symphonic Singers, Men's Ensemble and Ladies of Symphonic Singers, received a "I"in class A.

    • Congratulations to Jacob Andrews, sophomore, in being chosen to attend the Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership Seminar, also known as HOBY this summer. Jacob will be spending the first weekend of June at Youngstown State University learning about leadership.

    • Congratulations to Rhavyn Ijams and Kelian Disher on placing in the 2017 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards from the Cleveland Institute of Art.  Rhavyn Ijams received a Gold Key and a Silver Key for placing in the Writing portion, and Kelian Disher has 2 Silver Keys for placing in the Writing portion.  The Writing pieces will be displayed in the gallery on interactive monitors on the ceremony day to be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017.     • Congratulations goes out to BMHS Robotics Team (Team 1248) as the official team that will be streaming the live real-time webcast of the 2017 "First STEAMworks" competition from the Buckeye Regional Robotics Competition on March 31st and April 1st, 2017.

    • Congratulations goes out to the following BMHS Art Department students for participating in the Cleveland Clinic Expression's program and having their work gain acceptance to this unique experience.  Blue Ribbon-Rachel Barnes, Honorable Mention-Kayla Simonitis and Honorable Mention-Molly Stackhouse.  Each year the number of student entries grows by leaps and bounds; this year 1,500 pieces were entered by 51 different schools.  The opening, included a formal program with a reception to be held on Thursday, February 9, 2017.

    • The Titan Marching band headed to Ohio State on Saturday, September 10 to play at the famed Ohio State Marching Band Skull Session. Skull Session is a long standing tradition of The Ohio State University Marching Band dating back to 1957. Full story here.

    • Congratulations to Senior, Sarah Faught on being accepted into the 2017 All-State Honors Choir, which is a very competitive selection process that involved 900 All State Choir applicants.  This choir will perform at the OMEA Convention February 2-4, 2017 at the Cleveland Convention Center.
