2024-25 Preschool Registration

  • Online registration for the 2024-2025 school year opens

    on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.

    Berea City Schools has been awarded the Early Childhood Education (ECE) grant to support our 5 Star Preschool Program as well as offer eligible families financial scholarships to access quality early education for their children. To fulfill the grant requirements, the following age requirement must be met:


    • Children 3 or 4 years old by August 1, 2024 enrolled in a 3 or 4-year-old program 
    • Children 5 years old by August 1, 2024 can attend any 4-year-old program, but are not eligible for a scholarship.
    • Additionally, families who have outstanding preschool tuition balances with Berea City Schools will not be permitted to register for preschool until the balance is paid in full.


    There are 3 STEPS to complete the registration process. Please review the directions below to prepare to register your child to attend Berea City Schools Preschool for the 2024-25 school year.

    STEP 1

    Complete the online registration application.

    The items and information listed below are needed to complete the online registration application.

    • Child's Birth Certificate (original or certified copy), passport or baptismal record. If not in English, please provide a translated copy.
    • Parent/Guardian photo identification (driver's license, passport, social worker's ID) 
    • Residency and Custody Affidavit (Must be notarized)
    • Current Signed Lease - OR - Owners Affidavit, if you are not the homeowner (Must be notarized)     
    • At least 2 of the documents listed below with the Parent/Guardian’s name and address  
      • Utility bills
      • Bank statement
      • Pay stub 

         **Residency information listed above is only required for residents of BCSD.**

    • Any document, in its entirety, listed below, if applicable.
      • Divorce Decree
      • Guardianship or Custody
      • Grandparent Power of Attorney
      • Journal Entry – Case Worker (must have district of responsibility listed in the document)

    *Each item will need to be uploaded to the online registration.

    • Household information -- address and phone numbers
    • Parent information -- work and cell phone numbers, email addresses
    • Student information -- demographic and health/medication information
    • Emergency Contacts (2 nonparental) - addresses and phone numbers.

    The online registration must be in “Hold” status in order to move to Step 2. 
    A link to the Face-To-Face Appointment Calendar is sent once the online application has been approved and put on "Hold" status.  Classrooms are chosen at the face-to-face appointment and are granted on a first come first serve basis.

    STEP 2:

    Upon Hold status of the online registration, you will receive an email to schedule a Face to Face Appointment. Please be sure to bring the following:

    • Photo ID (driver's license, passport, social worker's ID)
    • $50.00 non-refundable registration fee (per child) - must be paid by check or cash
    • Any document, in its entirety, listed below, if applicable
      • Divorce Decree
      • Guardianship or Custody
      • Grandparent Power of Attorney
      • Journal Entry - Case Worker (must have district of responsibility listed in document)

    Face to Face Appointments will be held at Brook Park Elementary School located at 17001 Holland Road, Brook Park.

    STEP 3:

    Finalize additional forms and first payment is due on August 15, 2024.
