Mike Draves graduated from Berea High School in 1991. In 1996 he graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Studies Education. Mike received his Masters Degree in Administration from Baldwin Wallace College and his Superintendent Licensure from Ashland University. Mike began his teaching career at Berea High School in 1997 as a Social Studies teacher and a Baseball and Golf Coach. While at Berea, Mike served as the Social Studies Department Chair and Model UN Advisor for numerous years, then serving as an Administrative Intern in 2008-2009. From 2009-2019 Mike went to Brunswick City Schools and served various roles including Brunswick High School Assistant Principal from 2009-2013 and High School Principal from 2013-2018. From 2018-2019, Mike served as the Brunswick City School District Personnel Director before coming back to Berea to serve as Assistant Superintendent.

Mike is married to Mary (Kwiatkowski) Draves who is a science teacher at Berea-Midpark High School and they have one daughter, Zoe Draves who is in 6th grade at Olmsted Falls Intermediate School.

 

This office has as its major focus the responsibility of coordinating the day-to-day operation of all of the schools within the district and the following business services:

• Non-Medical Insurance
• Leases and Rentals
• Construction and Renovations
• Utility Management

  • Mi-Bro-Be sixth grade camp
  • As well as serving as a liaison with many community groups within our cities
  • Other Business Related Aspects of the Schools
