Preschool Child Find
School districts throughout Ohio all participate in efforts to identify, locate, and evaluate children with disabilities from birth through age 21.
For children ages three through five, a disability means a documented deficit in one or more of the following developmental areas:
- Speech/Language
- Social/Emotional/Behavior
- Hearing/Vision
- Motor Functioning
- Learning or Cognitive Ability
- Self-Help Skills
This documented deficit is established through a multifactored evaluation, which is provided by our school district's preschool assessment team. If you are concerned about your preschool child's development and any of these areas and would like more information, please call the department of Pupil Services for the Berea City School District at 216 898-8300.
