Chromebook insurance exclusions
Per the 1:1 Device Handbook and User Agreement , the following items are not covered:
- Device charger, unless included in theft or fire
- Intentional damage, tampering, or device modification
- False information in any damage report
- Failure to report known damage on the next scheduled school day
- Negligence, including leaving a Chromebook unattended, or damage caused by food, drinks, or liquids
- Loss or damage resulting from fraudulent, intentional, or criminal acts
Student Device Use and Testing
Students may use any device at home to access schoolwork. District-issued Chromebooks are required for state testing.

Chromebook Updates
If the Chromebook does not update automatically, follow these steps:
- Turn on your Chromebook.
- Connect your Chromebook to Wi-Fi.
- Select the time at the bottom right.
- Open Settings.
- In the left panel, select About ChromeOS.
- Under Google ChromeOS, find your current version.
- Select Check for updates.
- If an update is available, it will download automatically.
