Navigating the Digital Landscape: Internet Safety

Thursday, November 6, 2025 • 6:30–7:30 p.m.

Technology changes quickly, and it can be hard for families to keep up. This session will help parents better understand online risks and how to protect children in today’s digital world.

Presenter: Emily Fagan-Zirm, M.A.Ed., Outreach Coordinator for the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, will share strategies for navigating social media, online gaming, and emerging tools like generative AI.


Anxiety: Practical Strategies for Parents

This session will focus on understanding anxiety in children and teens, with strategies parents can use to help manage emotional ups and downs.

Presenters: Lisa Palmison, LPCC, MEd and Phil Palmison, LPCC-S will share ways to recognize anxiety, provide support, and create an environment where students feel understood and equipped to manage stress.


Zzzs to As: Supporting Sleep for Student Success

Wednesday, March 4, 2026 • 6:30–7:30 p.m.

A good night’s sleep is vital for student health, attention, and academic success. This session will explore the science of sleep and its impact on children and teens.

Presenter: Stacy Simera, MSSA, LISW-S will explain how sleep needs change by age, what barriers affect rest, and how parents can create routines that support healthy sleep habits.
