Registration Opens February 18 for the 2026–2027 School Year

Registration for the 2026–2027 school year, including Preschool and Kindergarten, will open on February 18, 2026.

Families are encouraged to register early to ensure a smooth start for the upcoming school year.

Important Kindergarten Age Requirement Update

New for 2026–2027:
Under House Bill 114, signed into law in December 2025, children must be five years old by the first day of kindergarten instruction to be eligible for kindergarten enrollment.

For the 2026–2027 school year, this means a child must turn five on or before August 24, 2026.

Preschool families should review this requirement carefully when planning for registration. Students must now be three or four years old by the district’s first day of kindergarten instruction to enroll in preschool.

How to Register

Registration may be completed in one of the following ways:

• Online registration, available beginning February 18

• In-person by appointment using the registration kiosk at the Berea Board of Education offices
