2017-18 Student and Staff Accomplishments

    • Congratulations are in order for our students who have been nationally recognized by the College Board organization for their achievements on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). We are extremely proud of our National Merit Scholarship Program Commended Students (scoring among the top 3% of over 1.6 million PSAT/NMSQT participating students):

    • Congratulations in order for recent graduates who qualified as National Advanced Placement Scholars, with average scores of at least 4 on all AP Exams taken and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these AP Exams: Zachary R. Boledovic, Yuexuan Chen, Madison Vargo, and Adam M. Wade

    • Congratulations to George W. Hinton who qualified as a National Merit Semifinalist. About 16,000 students -- less than 1 percent of U.S. high school seniors -- get the marks to become semifinalists.

    • After a very competitive selection process involving 900 All-State Choir applicants, one Berea-Midpark High School Advanced Choir member, Senior Timothy Novak, was accepted into the 2018 All-State Honors Choir. This choir will perform at the OMEA Convention held February 8-10, 2018 at the Columbus Convention Center.
