Right At School (ExtendED)

  • Effective at the start of the 2022-23 school year, Right At School, a nationally-recognized organization that provides high-quality enrichment programs, is offered at each of our elementary schools (Berea-Midpark Middle School 5th grade students will continue to attend the program at Big Creek Elementary School).

This partnership with Right At School offers students the opportunity to enjoy expanded before and after school enrichment and ensures families will continue to have access to the highest-quality programs. Right At School provides an engaging and fun enrichment curriculum to encourage students to learn, play and grow. Students will have a healthy snack, engage in dynamic fitness activities, student-driven projects, team building, leadership development, and have the opportunity to complete homework.

In addition, Right At School is able to serve even more students than ever before without waitlists or enrollment caps! Right At School will offer flexible scheduling and enrollment options including drop-in care and 10-day punch cards. Plus, Right At School will provide affordable rates for our families and accept state child care subsidy for qualified families. There is a subsidy coordinator on staff to assist families in working through this process with the state. To learn more about Ohio subsidies visit https://www.childcareaware.org/state/ohio/, select the financial assistance tab, and navigate to the Child Care Assistance column.  Right At School’s Customer Service team is also available to answer any questions

Here is some of what families can expect:

    1. The costs for the majority of the services will remain the same, some even less than the current costs.
    2. There will be a one hour before/after school option for families. However, this will be a 5-day option only.
    3. Drop-off for Before School will now begin at 7:00 a.m. This is a change from what we currently are offering for families to be able to drop off at 6:30 a.m. In evaluation of our current program, we determined childcare from 6:30-7:00 a.m. was not an option that was widely used by our families.
