JEDI Task Force
Overview
Stakeholders work to develop a culture that embraces, seeks an understanding, respects, accepts, and celebrates our unique individual differences. The BCSD Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Task Force will identify strengths, areas of growth, and a plan of action as it relates to diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism in the school district.
JEDI is a commonly used acronym for Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. Many school districts across the country use this same acronym or a variation of the acronym. BCSD's JEDI task force is not associated with the J.E.D.I. Institute out of the state of Georgia. BCSD's JEDI task force has previously worked with the Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio >> read more.

- We are committed to developing, sustaining and embracing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice within all facets of the organization such as in the classrooms, schools, in athletics and activities, in the district office and the Board of Education .
- We have equitable curriculum, discipline procedures, instructional practices, and grading practices.
- All staff feel included, valued and respected, regardless of title, position or identity.
