  • Welcome to the Wild West Scholastic Book Fair

    Our Scholastic Book Fair is a reading event that brings the books kids want to read right into our school. It’s a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level. Please make plans to visit our Book Fair and be involved in shaping your child’s reading habits. Our Wild West Scholastic Book Fair will be October 23-October 30, 2017 in your school library.   There will be a special Family Shopping Night during Parent/Teacher conferences so the book fair will remain open on both nights until 7:30 pm.   Please make plans to visit our Wild West Scholastic Book Fair.  In case you aren't able to make the fair, please visit the online fair from October 13- November 2, 2017 at

  • Wednesday, October 19 - Morning Announcements:

    • The Pledge, weather report and lunch menu were shared.
    • Reminder:  Ski Club and Mileage Club permission forms are in the main office...stop and get yours so you can join! See Mrs. Seitz for details or email her at
    • Builders Club meets tomorrow morning in Room 212 at 7:45AM.
    • Titan Trebles Choir rehearsal is tomorrow, 8:00AM in Room 901.
    • In keeping with our "Superheroes Unite Against Bullying" theme, tomorrow is "Wonder Twins Activate"...find a twin, dress alike, and stand up together against bullying!

  • Tuesday, October 17 - Morning Announcements:

    • The Pledge, weather report and lunch menu were shared.
    • Mileage Club is coming!  Every Monday from 7:45AM-8:15AM starting January 8, 2018, students who join Mileage Club will learn how to use a pedometer to track their steps, convert those steps into miles and earn collectible "Foot Charms" for their accomplishments! If you are interested please pick up a permission slip in the main office and return it to Mrs. Seitz by Friday, November 17th to become a member.  Parens/guardians are welcome to come in and walk/jog  the gym with their child!  See Mrs. Seitz with any questions or contact her at
    • Are you interested in Ski Club?  Learn how to ski or snowboard this winter with your friends at Brandywine!  Equipment rentals, lessons and value passes are included in your registration fee paid online to BMBW.  There is an additional $45 transportation fee paid to the Berea City School District for bussing.  Ski Club meets on Tuesdays from 3:30-8:45PM starting Tuesday, January 9th through Tuesday, February 6th.  Pick up an information packet in the main office - deadline to register is November 20th.  See Mrs. Seitz or Mrs. Luikart with questions.
    • Builders Club meets this Thursday, October 19th, 7:45AM in Room 212.
    • Attention students: after a very close battle between Teams 5C and 6B, Team 5C came out on top with 81 total pounds of change to 6B's 79 pounds.  Team 5C will be receiving a pizza and water party from PTA some time soon!  The real winners in this contest are all the people who will benefit from our students' generosity! Titan Proud!

  • Monday, October 16 - Morning Announcements:

    • The Pledge, weather report and lunch menu were shared.
    • Interested in joining one of Ford's most popular clubs?  Get your friends and join Mileage Club!  Starting in January, every Monday from 7:45-8:15AM you will wear pedometers and walk or jog the gym!  You'll receive collectible "foot charms" for the more steps you get!  Pick up a permission slip in the gym or main office.  See Mrs. Seitz with questions.  Deadline is November 17th.
    • Attention 6th Grade Model UN students:  the next MUN meeting is this Tuesday, 3:30-4:30PM in the Mini-lab.
    • The Reflections workshop is today in the cafeteria until 4:00PM
    • Builders Club meets Thursday, October 19, 7:45AM in Room 212.  Please enter the building at entrance "B" by Room 212.

  • Friday, October 13 - Morning Announcements:

    • The Pledge, weather report and lunch menu were shared.
    • Superheroes Unite Against Bullying!  In celebration of National Bullying Prevention Awareness month, we will have Spirit Week next week. Monday is "Build Your Own Hero Day:" Bullying really "mixes you" up.  Mismatch your clothes or superhero attire to become a new hero.  Make sure you check out the TNT posters around the building as a reminder of each dress up day.
    • Good News!  PTA and Student Council joined forces to challenge the students of FIS to make a difference!  After watching and talking about all of those affected by the devastating hurricanes, FIS decided to see what we could do to help those in need.  A goal was made to raise $500.  Not only did this group of students accomplish the goal, they actually far exceeded it raising an incredible $1569.53.  Thanks to all who were able to participate.  The money will be donated to the Red Cross to help those in need!  The Titan Spirit remains strong!!
    • Reminder to all students, your locker must have a Ford lock.  If you are using a lock other than a Ford lock, the lock will be cut off.
    • Don't forget, the Reflections workshop is Monday, October 16, after school in the cafeteria.
    • Builders Club meets on Thursday, October 19, in Room 212.  Please enter the building by entrance "B" which is the closest door to the meeting room.
